my twin brother's classmate committed suicide yesterday, so i made this image in honor of him. i hope for it to portray someone on their road to the end, alone, and sort of in that sad-peaceful kind of way... ahh, i'm not sure.

my brother didn't know him very well, but said that the times that they had talked, he was a nice kid who seemed genuinely happy. it just makes you wonder, you know? and i can't help but be sad for his family.... just imagine how hard that would be. put yourself in the shoes of a parent of a seventeen-year-old boy who killed himself. i mean, i'm not a parent, but i've lost so many people, family and friends alike, and it's always hard, no matter what the situation.

even still, i can't even begin to fathom the pain and sorrow his mother and father must be feeling... he was their son... god. i don't know. it's just. it's so, so sad.

i guess all i really have room left to say is
rest in peace, greg.

i think you captured the mood and feeling perfectly. The people in the background almost represent the distance he must have felt from those around him. The water, with the odd wave, seems to represent his emotions. a clash between surreal calm and turmoil. Excellent work, great pic. I am just so sad to hear the back story. No one should be left feeling suicide is the only option. I send my apologies to you, your brother, and the young mans family
