i am trying to explain how i feel and it isn't working. i am trying to accept that this is my little sister and it isn't working. i am trying to acknowledge what my mom said - "this is how she'll be from now on" - and it isn't working. i am trying to pretend that i didn't see how empty her eyes were and it isn't working. i am trying to write and my hands are shaking and it isn't working.
i am trying to welcome change with open arms, like i usually do, and it isn't working. * ps - for those of you who think schizophrenia and psychosis are unable to be diagnosed in children, such is not the case. it is rare, but it happens. and it happened here. the doctors are surprised, too, but sure of it. so please don't try to tell me otherwise, because trust me, i wouldn't say it if it weren't true. |
